Victoria kicks off her 2025 Summer Tour!

1 August 2025
After the success of last year’s Summer Tour Victoria Collins, MP for Harpenden and Berkhamsted, has embarked on another jam-packed tour of the towns and villages within the constituency.
Throughout this, Victoria is hosting drop in surgeries, meeting with local organisations, joining events and hosting roundtables to discuss key local issues.
She has already hit the ground running, making tour stops in Harpenden, the villages of Great and Little Gaddesden, Berkhamsted and Potten End.
Through these she has met with organisations at the heart of these communities to discuss their work, like the Eric Morecambe Centre, Harpenden Collective and Dacorum Heritage, at an Open Day showcasing the fascinating history of Berkhamsted.
She has visited local businesses to discuss the fantastic contributions they are making to the local area, like hearing from Gaddesden Home Farm about their family’s historic farming businesses and from Boots Berkhamsted about community healthcare services they are offering to relieve NHS pressures.
However, Victoria also heard about the struggles they are currently facing, including due to concern about the government’s family farm tax which the Liberal Democrats are continuing to fight against.
She also had the opportunity to discuss key issues impacting local residents, whether through drop in surgeries or roundtables on key topics including mental health provision and the protection of chalk streams, building on Victoria’s long-standing campaigns for improvements in these areas.
Victoria said:
“It’s been a brilliant tour so far, and I’m only just getting started! Hearing local voices and seeing firsthand the fantastic work of organisations throughout our community, as well as understanding any problems they’re facing, has always been my absolute priority.
“It’s brilliant to have this opportunity, throughout the summer, to visit the many wonderful towns and villages across Harpenden and Berkhamsted, and showcase everything that is so special about our local area - alongside hearing about the things that matter to you most.
“This is what enables me to best represent you all in Parliament, and to build on my work so far to push for the best outcome for our local area.”
“A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to host and meet with me so far, and if I haven’t already visited your area, rest assured that I’ll be doing so soon and would be thrilled to see as many of you as possible!”
Over the coming weeks, Victoria will be continuing with her 2025 Summer Tour of the constituency.
