Get involved in UK Parliament Week

Victoria Collins, MP for Harpenden and Berkhamsted, is inviting schools, youth groups, and community organisations across the constituency to get involved in UK Parliament Week 2026, taking place from 23–29 November, to inspire the next generation of voters, campaigners and future political leaders. 

The annual event is a chance to bring democracy to life, helping people of all ages learn more about how Parliament works and how they can make their voices heard.

Victoria Collins MP said:

"One of the best parts of my job is meeting young people across Harpenden and Berkhamsted and hearing about the issues that matter most to them. I see the same curiosity and passion that first sparked my own interest in politics at school, where I realised that everyone can make a difference by getting involved and standing up for the issues they care about." 

“UK Parliament Week is a brilliant opportunity for schools and community groups to explore how our democracy works in a fun and interactive way, with activities linked to the National Curriculum. From holding mock elections and learning how to write to your MP, to quizzes, debates and creative activities, there's something for everyone.

“The free activity kits make it easy to get involved, and I hope as many schools and community groups as possible will sign up, take part and help inspire the next generation to have the confidence to use their voices and shape the future."
